Allspice

Allspice, is a spice made from the dried berries of the allspice tree(Pimenta dioica), which is native to the Caribbean and Central America. The allspice tree produces small, brown, peppercorn-sized berries that are harvested, dried, and then ground into a fine powder.

Allspice is so named because its flavor has been described as a combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. It has a warm, sweet, and slightly peppery taste that makes it a popular ingredient in a wide range of dishes, including marinades, rubs, sauces, stews, soups, and baked goods.
